Day in the Life Project libday8 day 5

Head's better today.
9.02 am reading and answering emails. One student went away with items yesterday and I realised only later he is not one of our subscribed borrowers. He returned the item, pfew!
9.15 thinking about different things and doing mind maps for: the difference in culture when they will be security doors etc... technical progress we could make (we're having a technical meeting this afternoon), more thinking about rfid and costs.
9.45 checking items processed yesterday, quite a few mistakes, in particular in the processing of multi-media multi-parts items. That makes me think... will be make the CD-ROM collection lending? And if yes, how can we NOT expect the students to download it all onto their computers? A change in that particular point in the legislation about copyright would just adjust to the reality and mean "less infringing activity", which would be good!
12.54 starving. Helped a panicked alumni with her CV and lettre de motivation for her to go and work in France. Good luck to her!
Happy, just realised that I can get lots of African language material through... South Africa, bien-sur! Must do a search for Sesotho!
