Visit to University of Surrey's library
I went to the University of Surrey in order to see one of my CILIP mentees who is, I feel, ready to submit her Chartership soon! :-)
The library of the University of Surrey is huge, difficult to miss it. Still I wanted to make sure I was walking in the right direction and asked a student. He told me immediately where it was.
It is, like Brookes University Library, a very busy all-in-one library that looks like, at entrance level, like the entrance of the underground.
It's quite modern and natural light is an important feature of it, which is great!
On the ground floor, you can rent a laptop.
There are a lot of group study rooms.
Splash offers librarians' help to students
Of course I couldn't help it and went to the Language Learning zone.
where there is some clear information about learning levels.
And that's it!
Thank you to the AAD fund to allow me to spend more time as a CILIP Mentor. And thank you also to my Mentee's line-manager for agreeing I take pictures.
[due to change of blog, the pictures disappeared... will try to find them again, eventually!]
